Presenter: Jon Stinson, National Sales Manager, OST Services, a Division of Lisega
Presentation Topic: This presentation will discuss topics around engineered pipe supports and
thermal/dynamic design considerations. Engineered Pipe Supports are supports, hangers, and restraints
which have been selected by a Piping Stress Engineer for a particular use, given load and displacement
limitations; Often involve devices which allow piping to move under thermal conditions. Engineered
pipe supports come in a variety of configurations and materials and have many applications. Typical
products include variable and constant springs, hydraulic snubbers, rigid restraints, energy absorbers,
vibration dampeners, pipe connections, and associated hardware.
The presenter, Jon Stinson, has 40 years of experience in the field and is a member of several ASME
B&PV Code Committees related to pipe supports. He is also a member of the MSS Technical Committee
403 for pipe supports.
Dinner: Dinner will be a sit down meal, dinner selections: Boneless chicken cacciatore w/spaghetti; or
lasagna w/meatball; or small spaghetti parmesan. Dinners will include salad, bread and butter,
coffee/tea, and Cannoli. A cash bar will be available for beverages.
Cost: $25 members/spouses; $30 non-members, $15 students
